Do medicines need to be in original bottles on plane?
Two of my kids have daily medicines. I like to put the pills in those daily dosing containers to make it easier for all. Will that make it through security? Or would I be best to keep evertything in their containers and dose them out at WDW?
Original containers, especially for prescription medications, but I would do it for all meds. Take your dosing containers with you and dose them out at Disney.

My DH has not taken his original containers the last few years and nothing has been said. However, that can change depending on the airport you travel through.
If you have large bottles, ask the pharmacist to put labels on smaller bottles that will be easier to carry.
My dd just made it thru security with all her meds in a daily dose thing. That is how we always travel. The only thing in the original container was her inhaler. None of her meds are for ADHD (not sure what type of medicine that is) but we have never had a problem.
We will be flying on Friday with our meds in a daily dose thingy
Origional containers. Especially if any mediction is controlled (ie most ADHD meds).

Thanks for all the feedback. One Rx is for DS's ADD med, the rest are allergy meds, one Rx and 2 OTC (benadrryl and Zyrtec).
original container.....Every where I read stated all medications prescribed must be in an original container...I take daily meds but I pack mine in my check bag so I'm not sure about getting through security with prescribed medications ...
I always travel with medications in their original bottles/containers in my carryon, just to be safe. I've never been asked about it, though...

The TSA site says it doesn't need to be in the original containers but it's probably a good idea to especially adderall or Ritalin . Pain meds, too. Let's face it- a baggie of percocet is going cause some concerns. I can also say that TSA also haggled with DH about his insulin, which is clearly allowed. Just kinda depends on who does the scanning that day.
I threw all of my meds into one big bottle. No one asked a thing. My liquid medication, I had to keep in the original packaging because those are larger than 3.4 ounces.
Next time I will take one of those daily divided things. Some of my meds look alike and I wound up taking the wrong ones one day!
Here's the thing: They have NO clue what those pills are. You can tell them they're just vitamins and they won't know they aren't.
We don't travel with original containers, ever! We never have - DD Samantha takes up to 50 pills, and sometimes 4 IV anti-biotics daily (those we DO take in their original, labeled containers). We or she have bought the pills in as large containers as possible (think large mayo jars) - because it saves money. Not taking them on the flight - they'd take up a suitcase all by themselves.

"It is recommended (not required) that passengers bring along any supporting documentation(IDcards, letterfromdoctor, etc.)regard ing their medication needs. It is recommended, not required, that the label on prescription medications match the passengers boarding pass."
I fly back and forth to Orlando 8 to 10 times a year, most of the time with just my daily dose container and it's never been questioned or looked at. But, if I had narcotic meds, I'd have them in the original bottles just in case.
I guess if they are narcotics I'd keep it in the original container but between dd & I we have allergy meds (both RX & OTC) birth control and Lipitor (which are broken in half as they decreased my dose) and they are all in the daily dose container and in my carryon as I'd be afraid my luggage would get lost and I wouldn't have them.
I put what we need for the travel day in a tupperware kit cup in my purse. Everything else is in kit cups by family member. DH's go in his carry on. Mine and DD's are vitamins and allergy meds, so I put those in a checked bag, as the world won't end if they get lost.
