Boos for Tiffany Towncar

First posting..had a terrible experience trying to use Tiffany. Made reservation via e-mail based on Passporter recommendation but when I tried to call to ask questions, I left voicemails on two seperate occasions, no one called me back, when I finally got someone they were incredibly rude. I e-mailed the reservations manager asking her to call me as I had questions re: pick-up time etc. She e-mailed me back (not called) and told me my pick-up time. (Not my only question regarding that.) I cancelled our reservation and made one with Florida Towncar whom we have had great success with in the past!

Welcome to the PassPorter Boards savarney!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. We have used Tiffany and never encountered any problems. They have always been very professional and prompt in handling our needs... I too am wondering if it could be the other TC service.

Glad to see you on the boards looking forward to your postings!

Welcome to the boards savarney!

That's terrible that you had such a hard time! We have only used Tiffany Towncar once, but their servise was very good. Had no problems making the reservation and they arrived on time for pick-up and drop-off. Maybe it was just a bed day?

Anyway, I hope you have a great trip!

Welcome to the boards! Sorry to hear about your bad experience with TTC. We haven't used them ourselves as we rent a car, but sounds like they are a popular choice for transportation. Anyway, welcome!

Re: Boos for Tiffany Towncar

Hi Savarney,
welcome to the community. Sorry you had such a terrible experience with TTC. Just out of curiosity, which TTC did you call? I've heard that there are another company that called themselves Tiffany Towncars (or something very similar) and they do have a really bad reputation. Out of personal experience, we've used TTC twice and so far they have been outstanding.
I hope you'll have better luck next time.
Welcome again.

Sorry to read about your bad experience with TTC. We used Florida Town Car WAY BACK in '94 and we were very pleased with them. We made reservations with TTC for our upcoming trip; hopefully all will go well.

Re: Boos for Tiffany Towncar

I just wanted to share my experince with Tiffany Town Car. On our way home last Dec. I realized at the airport that I did not have my camera bag (in it was my digital camera, camcorder, 35 mm camera, my daughters disposable cameras, tapes, film...everything!) I called TTC in a major panic. They checked the car that had picked us up and it was not there. At this point it was time for my plane to take off...I had to go and still didn't know where I had left it. To make a long story short, when I arrived home in CT about 4 hours later there was a message from Tiffany. They had traced my bag back to the Poly (I had left it on the curb! !), they went back to the resort to pick it up for me and shipped it via Federal Express to my home at no cost to me. It arrived the next day. They totally handled the problem while I was flying home and it was not even their fault. My bag was large and very heavy...I can only imagine what it must have cost them. Way, way above the call of duty, imho. Needless to say, I will always use these folks.

Linda,
Wow! That is incredible! How thoughtful that Tiffany went to such great efforts to ensure the safe return of your belongings.
We will be using Tiffany for the 1st time this January, and we are very excited! It will be our 1st trip where we have not rented a car and are looking forward to letting someone else do the driving!

Re: Boos for Tiffany Towncar

Gonna have to agree with the thumbs down here...
We waited in MCO (Orlando airport) for 40 minutes for out Tiffany driver. When he came, he didn't say a word, not "Gee, sorry I'm late" or "How was the flight?"

Hey I know everybody has bad days ... but guess what ... on the return home ... different driver - SAME thing happens. Well, he was only 25 minutes late, and didn't say 2 words to us. My 5 yr. old and 2 yr. old don't really CARE what kind of day anybody besides they are having! They just wanted to "see Mickey, Mommy"
Hmmmm, will I use them again??? I think not.

Hi!

If you go down again, try Atlantis Limos. They have town cars and limos of all sizes. We have used them twice and were never disappointed. The owner, Scoobey, is a great guy. I believe the link is www.atlantislimo.com.

MinnLee...Isn't it funny we're both from CT? Maybe they have something against us!! Just kidding...Allow me to reiterate, Florida Town Car has always treated us with respect and the best service. Give them a try next time.

Re: Boos for Tiffany Towncar

MinnLee and Savarney, I'm from CT too and we had great service from Tiffany. Thye were wainting for us when we arrived , had the car seat we requested and even had a UHaul attached to the back of the vans to haul all of our luggage(there were 15 of us). Sorry you guys had a bad experience, maybe you should give them another try.

Re: Boos for Tiffany Towncar

Just to let you guys know the wrap-up to the Tiffany Story...after I cancelled my reservation with them after never getting to speak to the manager, On the day before we left for Disney, Deb, the reserrvations manager, did call but she was calling to confirm the reservation that I cancelled!!! When I explained that it had been cancelled and why, she just said, "Fine, never mind then." and hung up!!!!!! Luckily, I have no need to ever try them again as we use another company we love. Moral of the story? If you find a company you love - stick with them no matter which one it is!
