Price drop on my flight

I went on line to Delta this afternoon to see if there were any seats left on my flight down & found that the price dropped like $50 same flight down, connecting flight back. So I called Delta to see if I could Change my tickets, well I couldn't because they charge $100 to change a reservation, but they checked to see if my flight had come down in $$$ & it did. $3.00 more than the one I wanted to change to, so they hooked me up with a voucher for the diff. I can use this when I go in January with a friend. I couldn't believe the price drop. I have been watching prices for monthes & did not expect it to go down but up.

Re: Price drop on my flight

When are you going - flying out of Logan? I've been watching and saw it go up $20. now it's back to where it was last month $171 - 175. I have see as low as $135 however of course it's not our travel period. We paid $130ish price in Feb. Now with 5 of us going the end of Sept. we are being more price conscious.

Thanks

Re: Price drop on my flight

Yeah Mickeybars & Dole Whips. maybe become a Pin Collector. The weird thing is, when I go on liento look @ prices my original flight is more then what I originally paid, even on the same day I called them & got a Lower price. Whats with that? But there was still a really good price for
another Flight.

Re: Price drop on my flight

It is ridiculous, but you can catch price drops in a day. I usually check after midnight when I call since previous 24 hour holds are released. That's what happened when I called for our Feb trip. Weird thing this time is no additional discount for online reservation. Usually airlines give additional discount for booking thru web.

Re: Price drop on my flight

Anyone know if US Airways gives the vouchers for price drops, too? Just curious...
Thanks!

Re: Price drop on my flight

Most airlines do I thought. I doesn't hurt to ask. Also the $175. fare I got last week is now $155.00 I imagine it will go down more.
