Disney Magic Express and checking bags?

My trip is in November and this is the first time I will be using DME. I know that we should pack our laptop, extra clothes, etc. in our carryons but we were hoping to go to the park as soon as we get "pre-registered" (our flight arrives at 9am and we were hoping to get to Epcot for the last day for Int. Food & Wine). Can we leave a bag at the hotel at this time, rather than carrying my laptop into the parks?

This is my first time going to Disney and staying on property.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for your input!

Re: Disney Magic Express and checking bags?

I don't know which airline you are flyinf and if it qualifies for pre-check in and bag check... so I will make some assumptions.

If it does - check your checked baggage w/the airline desk, and give your carry on to the bellman and have him store them until you return from the park, recover your carryons and home you go.

If it does NOT - put all your bags w/the bellman and recover them all - since you have to carry them into the airport and check them in yourself.

Hope this helps.

Re: Disney Magic Express and checking bags?

We also checked our carry on bags at AKL and then went right to the parks. When we got Back from AK, our DME bags and carry on bags were in the room waiting for us. It was great!

Re: Disney Magic Express and checking bags?

Usually, when you drop things off at Bell Services, they'll bring those bags up when your DME bags arrive. Talk about service!
