How is Magical Express?

This will be our 1st time using it. Do you have to wait long? How late do they do pick ups? We will be arriving the night of April 13th.

Re: How is Magical Express?

We were "lucky" enough to be guinea pigs on Day 2 of Magical Express... but I loved it. It was wonderful to get off the plane, NOT have to wait or look for our bags, just head off to the bus and head for the pool!

However, there are some problems with waiting for the bus to get full, rather than a set time they leave; but supposedly it's not more than 20-30 minutes; but then they load people up, etc...

Just sit back, enjoy the comfy bus seats.

If you have kids with you, though, bring snacks, or maybe an early Disney present, to give them on the bus.

Re: How is Magical Express?

They pick up as long as there are flights coming in. I talked with a CM who works ME and he told me he gets home after 2am. The wait actually varies. Most I have waited is a half hour, the least time I have waited is 5 minutes. I have used ME about 5 or 6 times. You can't beat the price.

Re: How is Magical Express?

they operate 24 hours. buses will leave every 20-30 minutes or so regardless of how full the bus is (i've never been on a bus with more than 20 guests on it). depending on how late you get in however, your luggage may not be delivered to your room until the next day (if you're using the yellow tags) unless you request otherwise.

Re: How is Magical Express?

we have used it 3 times and it was fine. I dont really like taking it back to the airport as the bus was overcrowded and cut it close. Getting to WDW is easy and I have had no luggage issues using them.

Re: How is Magical Express?

No problem with getting to resort. Luggage arrived just as it should. The only problem I encountered was leaving the resort to head back to the airport. The buses were late and extremely crowded. We were lucky enough to get on the bus we were scheduled to be on, but many others had to wait for a second bus.

Still, I have used it twice and I would use it again. It helps me save money, so I can splurge somewhere else.

Re: How is Magical Express?

Although we love most things Disney, we would not rate Magical Express as very magical at all. You might be better served to hire a town car service like Tiffany Town Car. Our family of 5 travelled in comfort and style back and forth to our resort. Cost was about $90 (tip not included) round trip. Trip included a stop at the supermarket on the way in for sundries. Probably saved a bundle on bottled water, soda, and etc. Driver couldn't have been more professional or helpful. He arranged our pick-up times to minimize the wait and max out the length of our stay. Our luggage travelled with us. No delays just straight to our resort and then the MK!

Re: How is Magical Express?

The few times I have used it, I haven't had any problems. I've never had long to wait before the bus headed out for my resort. My luggage has always gotten to my room in a very timely manner as well.

On my return trip to the airport, I have always gotten there with plenty of time to get to my gate and grab something to read as well.

Another user of Tiffany Town Car here. I'm on vacation, so why not take it easy?

Re: How is Magical Express?

We had a wonderful experience with ME last May. We waited for less than 20 minutes for the bus, which was half empty when it left the airport. The seats were comfy and we were at our resort in no time. I thought it was superior to the service we had used on our previous trip, although I'm not sure which one we used. It was great to check the bags at the hotel upon departure and get our boarding passes. We were off to a day at the parks and didn't have to worry about our luggage until we arrived home. The convenience of this service is priceless. We will be using it again on our upcoming visit.

Re: How is Magical Express?

I did have a long wait for a bus when I arrived in Orlando (over an hour in the line). My resort had the longest line and they seemed to just be rotating from resort to resort without any adjustments for the number of people waiting to go to a particular resort. That being said, once I was on the bus the ride was pleasant, my luggage was in my room when I returned from the parks later that night and the bus was very prompt when I left WDW. I would use it again, but if I were arriving again on a busy Saturday afternoon, I might consider using another means of transportation.

Re: How is Magical Express?

We've used it three times now, with a good experience all three times. Not having to handle luggage was a huge plus for us, as well as the price, of course! All three times we arrived at our resort in less time than it used to take us to claim luggage and pick up a rental car.
