Fuel prices are up and that will keep the airfare higher.

Keep looking and they may drop. Good luck!

Hopefully they'll drop again; they usually do. I was looking at flights that I'd already booked -- the price had been around $220 for not non-stops from PDX to MCO (we booked the non-stop and our choice of flights, so it was actually more), but the prices had gone up immediately after we booked; and are even higher now, at over $425 for the not non-stops now!

Good luck, I hope you find a good deal soon. I know the gas/oil prices being so high doesn't help for a good discount.

Last year when we flew in August, the cheaper rates (DINGs) didn't come out until the beginning of June

I also am looking for the middle of Aug airfare and it has steadily been high I think although I too am cheap. I would even drive to Buffalo about an hour away if it were cheaper but nothing so far. The waiting is killing me!

The gas prices are killing me! I am sure everyone is right; that is what is affecting the prices of airline tickets!

We were lucky to get our air fare from Phila. to Mco for 117 round trip. I really jumped on that fast it is for April only down side was the value resorts were full so we are paying more for the resort.

Airfare prices????

We are also going to WDW in Sept. Waiting for the airfare to drop is driving me crazy. We are flying from Bloomington, IL to MCO. I am guessing our best bet will be Air Tran. It has been a while since we flew Air Tran. What is your opinion?

I know, it's driving me I've been watching airfare for August since last fall and the prices haven't budged. I'm just thankful they haven't gone up and hopeful that they don't before we buy our tickets!

Airtran feedback

Booked airfare through Airtran about a month and a half ago. Excellent rate: Less than $79 each way from Detroit.

However since then our morning departure flight has turned into a mid-day flight and our late evening return flight has turned into a mid-morning flight robbing us of precious time in the parks. They do let you change your flight to one where the times fit more with your plans, free of charge since they changed your original flight. So I did and got back to flights where the times are more desirable. BUT...... since then those times have changed for the worse as well!! I have a feeling in the end it will all work out fine, but I must say it's turning into a bit of a headache. I make it a point now to check Airtran's flights at thier website at least a few times a week now.

To thier credit though, Airtran's people have been VERY friendly and accomadating on EVERY phone call. So that is a definite plus for them. I guess in order to offer such low rates you have to put up with them changing the flights to the ones that are most profitable for them. As I said, in the end I expect it all to work out just fine.

Love airtran but they are famous for that. Our last trip they changed the times and did not tell us they were changeing them. We could have missed our flight, but thank goodness we didn't.
