| What's up with AirTran? I've been seeing several posters complain about AirTran changing their flights. Is this something they've just started dong a lot? I've flown wth them to Orlando twice, and they've never changed anything. I was planning on using them for our next trip, but now I'm a little scared.

| We're using AirTran for the first time in December and I have to admit that I am getting nervous with all the complaints, so I check on my reservation daily, and sometimes I check it more than once!! I can't wait to try them though, especially since they're the only airline that offers non-stop from Indy to Orlando before the break of dawn!!!

| I don't think it is anything new with Airtran. I have flown with them a few times now and at least one leg has been changed every time (and this is out of Indy). I just booked September flights at the beginning of July and already our flight home has changed times. The major complaint I have is that Airtran does not inform you when the flight changes. On our last trip, I received a call the day before the flight from Airtran and DME had informed me of the change a month before (when printing documents) to say our flight number was no longer listed as a departure.

| thank you for the update. We are flying AirTran in Feb. I will keep checking to see if anything has changed. I hope not this is the big school vacation in the Northeast and it is already bad with all the people going on vacation and worring about snowstorms. Well it is the chance you take. All you can do is keep on smiling. |

| Hi all! We are flying Midwest Airlines down from WI but AirTran back home on Jan. 1st. They changed our flight time once already but I booked way back in April. They DID send me an e-mail about it but I don't know now if it was from them or American Express Travel. M-m-m-m! Unfortunately, it is the only non-stop out in the evening and since we will be in Sarasota on the last day I (and we want as much time with our son and his family as possible) we cannot switch to an earlier flight. Hopefully, it will stay this way and not get later (we went from 6:30 to 7:30). However, does anyone know about this unassigned seat thing? I read about it on the boards and then checked my reservation and sure enough no seat assignments. I tried to call for some info but I was on hold for 15 min. and gave up. Should I try again? I guess I could try American Express travel as they were the ones who booked it and didn't tell us about it. We have great seats on Midwest. Thanks e3veryone in advance for any advice. Bigred

| I have to wonder if it worse out of certain cities? I've flown Airtran several times and never had a time change. We are two weeks out and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this continues to hold true!

| We've had 3 flights with Air Tran so far this year, and nothing was changed on them. We've had nothing but great service from them.

| I've also flown air tran several times out of Philly, and never had a change (possibly once but it was a difference of 10 minutes)---- on the other hand, US Airways--- don't get me started....I always expect a change (one time it was a 4 hour change).

| We are flying in August on Air Tran. They did change our out going flight once, but moved earlier by just 15 minutes, so sooner to WDW is fine with me. Air Tran now allows you to choose your seat before check in, for a fee. You have to go onto Air Trans web site and bring up your itinerary and the option to choose or change seats appears on the upper right. Good luck. |

| I'm out of PHL too and I've only had the flights change maybe 10 minutes either way. They have never notified me of this. The way I see it, it's all part of being a discounted airline, I'd guess. They have to make changes and adjustments to their schedules in order to cut costs. As a consumer of a discount airline, we will sometimes have to take the extra steps to check on our flights during the weeks leading up to departure. It's not fun, but I *do* enjoy their sale fares Eileen

| I flew Air Tran in December out of Pittsburgh and they changed my flight a couple times but only by small amounts of time. At that time it was still free to choose your seats, and I liked that. Once they started charging to choose seats, I opted for Southwest. NOBODY gets to choose seats, so it is more fair. I will register online to get the A boarding pass and that should put my family close to each other. Southwest was cheaper for me than Airtran with NON-STOP flights!!!!! |

| We were originally booked on Air Tran for Dec but they changed our flights and the new times were awful. I called and they issued a full refund with no penalties and we booked with Southwest instead. So if they do change your flights and you don't like the new times, call them up and they will either try to find something that will work for you or give you your money back even with nonrefundable tickets. The customer servce was very good.
