All DME check-in is at one desk at Orlando International, reguardless of where you are staying. Once you are checked-in, you'll be directed where to go and which line to get in for your resort.

In your DME packet, is a nice layout map of the airport that shows you what gates specific airlines come in to along with very clear, specific directions for getting to the DME desk. Don't worry and don't over-think this...it is designed to be very easy.

And when you land at Orlando International at 5:30 AM, easy is just what you want. We had never been there before and once we landed, it only took a minute or so to find out where we were and then just followed the map and instructions and within a few more minutes we were standing in front of the 'most welcome sights' there, a couple of SMILING CM's welcoming us and helping us to our bus. We were the only two on the entire bus too. We're going back again next year and you can be sure we will once again use DME.

Our party of 8 (four children under 14) are arriving sep 11 @ 1:10 pm. Since this is the low crowd season, will it make our wait for our luggage shorter? I am OCD and like to start organizing all our stuff when we arrive. I can wait until later in the evening if I have to, but I would like to be done early if possible. I guess I am wanting to know why DME instead of getting your own luggage? Is it just to save the hassel of waiting for your bags and pulling them to the bus? How long is the walk (will we be dragging our luggage for miles to get to the DME bus?) THanks for the help, we are not seasoned travelers.

Okay, I have a new question that I do not think I have seen answered on this thread.

Are the vouchers divided into adults and children, or just general? The reason I ask is we may travel with 2 adults and 2 children, or it may be 1 adult and 3 children. We set up the room, because at the time, we thought it was going to be the 1 and 3. And it still might be. It is really a long story, but basically one of the kids coming with us, she may not be able to, but she won't find out until a couple weeks before we go.

If she can't come, we will be inviting a relative, who is an adult. I know that won't be a big problem with the room reservation, but I guess I was just wondering since our packet will probably already be mailed to us.

A seperate question about the check-in procedure. Can one person check in, or does everyone need to be present and in front of the counter to check in?

I am currently in The World and when we arrived on Sunday, we did not have to go up to counter at all. There was a CM standing at the front of the line entrance for DME checkin and she said: "2 Questions: 1) Do you have voiuchers" (I showed her that we did) and 2) did you yellow tag your luggage?" She showed samples of the yellow tags in case someone didn't know what she was talking about. I told her yes and yes. And she told us to move directly to the podium of the CM who directed us to the proper bus line. We did not have the check in counter at all.

As far as your first question, it is just my husband and myself and I don't believe it indicates adult on them, just our names. I'm sure someone else has the answer to that question.

Have a magical trip.

I have a dilemma. We won a trip to universal studios for 4 days and we decided to extend our trip and go to Disney for 5 days. Now with the DME obviously i can't use it for the trip coming in and I will use it for my return trip to the airport. Now when I added DME to my reservation it has arrival and departure for the same day. The departure is on the correct day. Would that cause a conflict with using the DME system?

I would call DME directly, sorry, I am currently in The World, so I don't have the number handy, but it is an 800 number. Let them know your situation because I know they scan your voucher incoming, and that lets Disney know that you are there. I honestly don't know if that is the case, but when we used to check in, they always asked for our return info. So call them and they will have the right answer for you. If I come across it, I will post it.
