| Walkers on Airplanes?? To make a long story short, I'm trying to convince Paula to get a rolling walker for our trip instead of a scooter. If she decides to go that way, since she and mom will be flying, can she use it at the airport and take it on the plane with her or will she have to check it with her baggage? TIA

| My husband had a stroke and a few months later we flew to fl in June. He was using a one handed walker and they let him use it up until we boarded the plane. They gate checked it which meant we could have it as soon as we left the plane. He could make it from the gate to the plane down the skywalk thing, slow but ok. If this person needs the walker all the way to her seat, the airline personnel should help her and then take the walker and bring it back to her when it is time for her to get up and leave the plane. The airline personnel were very helpful and kind with us and I have seen them treat others with the same service. (Northwest and Air tran). Good Luck!

| My mom used one of the walkers that have the seat on it. She was able to take it right to the door of the plane and then they stowed it with the baggage. They brought it to the door of the plane when we landed for her to use to get out of the airport. It took a couple of minutes for them to get it to the door, so my oldest DD waited for it to show up and then my mom exited the plane. |

| Thank you very much to both of you. That answers my question perfectly.
