| I knew when I made the reservation so early that this could happen, but USAir has changed our flights. The departing flight is only an hour earlier, so that is no big deal, but our return home flight is now stopping in Charlotte instead of being non-stop. That gets us home around 1AM! If I ask them to change it to an earlier, non-stop flight do I have to pay the $100 per person change fee (there are 6 of us)? Do I have to pay the difference in ticket prices ?(prices have doubled since I booked)! It seems unfair for me to have to pay for these changes when USAir is the one who changed my flights to begin with!

| we just had something similar happen to us. Delta changed our flights, leaving us 35 minutes to change in Atlanta. DH called the resolution dept., explained that the changes THEY MADE were not acceptable to us, and got us onto an earlier flight to Atlanta with no fee. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! Be very firm that they did this to you!!!!!!!

| IF THEY change your flight on you, you shouldnt have to pay, try calling again and get a supervisor.

| Generally, if the airline changes you to an unacceptable flight (especially from non-stop to connection) they are required to give you flights that work for you. Of course, there has to be something available. Good luck! |

| My flight has went thru a few changes also, but so far they've all been in my favor. Just as other said, call the airline and see if they can accomodate you.

| Like everyone else said, you should not have to pay for the changes as long as you call ASAP. If you wait a few days to call back, they may not be as nice about it. I used to work for American (before the airlines became very greedy) and we wouldn't charge people if we had a schedule change and they needed to be put on a different flight. As long as it is the same day! If you are getting the run around demand to speak to a supervisor. It is so rare that they put you on a connection when you had a non-stop flight. They must have had a huge schedule change!! Good luck!! |

| If the airline changes the flight they need to either give you another available flight that is acceptable to you at the same price or refund your money in full.

| I had this with our trip to Berlin when they changed our flights by 12 hours!! - and while I don't know if it's in the same in the States, certainly over here, the airline is bound to re-arrange the flights to suit you at no charge, as they were the ones that made the change. ![]()

| Northwest had changed our flights also from non-stop to connecting. I called and I said that the flights they put me on were not acceptable and do they have a non-stop left that would seat the 8 of us?? It happened twice. Once with our arrival flight and once on our departing flight. No way was I going to connect when I paid for nonstop!

| With many airlines reorganizing and changing schedules, it's bound to happen more and more often (even with those airlines who typically don't change schedules that much). It's a good idea for everyone to always check (and re-check) your flights. In this case, they'll change you at no charge as it was their schedule change. You'll have to call (and probably wait and wait and wait on hold) to make the change. Try having it noted in your passenger name record (PNR) that flight time should be X:XX - that way if they try to change again, they'll hopefully see what time you need and keep you near that time. Keep checking back... US Air is a notorious schedule-changer (and can change you to other code-sharing flights, too) so keep checking!

| It's unacceptable for them to change you from a non-stop flight to a connecting flight. Tell them to put you on a nonstop flight, since that is what you paid for.

| Yes, the same thing happened to us with NWA. Our return flight became a one-stop. I called and they changed it to another non-stop without charging us. If the change was initially caused by the airline, they will change it again for you at no additional cost.
