"Spirit Air- the site was being updated when I checked so I will get back to this one (Where they changing the baggage fees? )"

Thanks for all the info. I will interject that a co-worker flew with Spirit in April and paid a per bag charge. (I think it was $10 for the 1st bag) Also, Spirit is adding a charge for picking your seat assignment ahead of time. Depending on where the seat is located depends on how much you pay.

Just a little side note about Spirit Air, CAA travel agent told me they don't book with them as they are in financial trouble.
Hate to see someone book and then find they have gone under

Air Tran has clarified their policy on their website. Their policy is based on when your tickets were booked.
If booked before April 21st, 2008 - 2 bags for free
If booked April 22 to August 13, 2008 - 1 bag free, 2nd bag if on-line - $10 or $20 - at airport
If booked August 14th or later - $25 for the 2nd bag.

Delta recently began imposing at $15 fee for the first bag - any ideas if this applies if tickets were purchased prior to a particular date or not?
I looked on their website, but I wasn't positive of that one. Thanks!

Glad that the UK airlines (especially Virgin) have not cottoned on to this yet.
