Yup, I was hoping they would include folks from out of state. I could pay for the trip with their check.

....apparent that attendance at the Swan & Dolphin is down. I suppose there aren't enough business conventions going on to fill the rooms (it seems like more of a business hotel to me). Disney has always had difficulty getting Florida residents to come to WDW for an extended stay....so I guess that this would be one way to entice them. However, I think the article said that Disney would be randomly choosing someone...so...that would be little incentive to me to go if I wasn't guaranteed the rebate.

...now...if I could get even a .25 cent / mile rebate on my 1150 mile drive down in November....I'd be in the Swan in an instant!!

Sounds good for someone - you could never offer something like that over here with our gas prices though.

I was kinda excited for a while, until I read the whole article, then I felt let down. We are driving 800 miles and would be great to get some of the gas money back, BUT, seeing how it is only open to FL reisdents staying at the Swan of Dolphin AND it is a random one a week drawing, it seems kinda useless to me.

I'm a little confused about this deal. I thought the Swan and Dolphin were owned by Sheraton, not Disney. I guess it doesn't really matter since I don't live in Florida either so I can't be eligible.
