Talking Packing Cubes Review=LOVED THEM!!

Hi everyone!!

Just wanted to report that I used my new packing cubes on my trip last week. All I will say is that I will never be without them again!!

Here is the link for all you passporters that are interested:
eBags Medium Packing Cubes - 3pc Set > Packing Aids > Travel Accessories - eBags

I have a set of the large and medium. I packed ALOT of clothes into those cubes!!
I am not a light packer. I like to have options. I never know what I might want to wear!

I was so pleased with my nice organized suitcase! I knew exactly what cube had what in it. I kept all my clothes packed in the cubes-no unpacking! I could locate everything so easily.

Now I am thrilled to have them for our trip in December. I have different colors for me and my 2 girls. I know this will make our trip alot easier!

So needless to say, I my packing cubes!!

Hmmm, I have never seen those before! Those look really neat for keeping things seperate. And I love the idea of different colored cubes for different family members!

I went to the link and couldn't really tell---how do these work? Do you pack in them by outfit, or jeans in one, shirts in another? Or is it mainly to keep things from shuffling about in your suitcase? They look organized, but fill me in!!! DH is the worst packer!! He brings tons of clothes--if this is worth it,I would get it just for him!!

Thanks for the review! I just got 2 sets - one each small, med, and large - and can't wait to try them out. I thought I'd give it a try since we're traveling in Dec and need everything from jeans to shorts.

I just forwarded this to DH at work so he could check it out. He always says that I pack too much when we go away....going back to our honeymoon 29 years ago! If these are all I think they are, thank you so much for sharing!!!!!

As an example, how many would one person use for a weeks worth of clothes? The medium size.
How do these compare to others I've seen.

It looks great however I think I can get more in my spacebags. I wonder what would happen if I combined the two. Oh I know, my 1 piece luggage would weigh 200 lbs!!!!

I am glad you liked them, I have the packing cubes too and love them. I 4 sets of the large size in four different colors. Each person has their own color, I usually pack tops in one, shorts or pants in one and all the other essentials in the last one.

Then when I get to the hotel and just take them out and put them in the dresser draws, I think they are really neat and convenient.

I want these so badly! But, when I showed them to DD online, he said, "Can't you just use Ziploc bags?"

I use a set for each boy - large and medium for their clothes (shorts, tees, underwear, socks, pjs, bathing suit). Each boy gets an extra complete outfit in the small bag for their backpack in case there are any mishaps on the plane, or to change into shorts once we land in Orlando. I use a large for DH and a large for me, which leaves me one large extra, I think. (Can't remember for sure, but I probably end up using the second large for DH. He is 6'5" and his clothes are a lot bigger than mine! ) I generally pack bulky sweatshirts and/or jackets just in the suitcase and not in a packing cube.

They are easier than ziploc bags, because to unpack you: 1) take cube out of suitcase, 2) put cube into dresser drawer, 3) unzip. Then you can see all your clothes and reach them easily. They never touch the drawer, and you don't need to search through the bag or dump it all out to find what you need. It's also easy because each kid knows their color. So no grabbing the wrong clothes because they forgot which drawer was theirs, or grandma got the wrong pjs. They look for their color and everyone is happy.
