| I checked in online with SouthWest!!! It seemed like there should be more to it than that, but who am I to question? We have seats A - Group #40,41,42, and 43. Are those good??? I don't suppose it matters much as my Father is handicapped and we would be board early anyway correct??? |

| That is great did you do it right at the 24 hour mark?? That is still boarding in group A which is really good. Since your Dad is handicap you get to preboard first-I believe not sure since they changed their rules. You either get first or right after A(with the families with kids under 5) which doesn't matter if you are the latter because you will board in the A group. I am sure someone will be able to tell you for sure about where handicap board but I am 99% sure that it is first.

| Last time I flew on Southwest, they didn't have assigned seats - the "A 40-43" are boarding group numbers. They line you up in groups A through C and let the A group board first, then B and C. You'd be the 40-43rd people to board so yes, that's good. You'll have quite the pick of whatever seats you like when you get on the plane

| Ohhhh...I get it....that is the boarding group number. How do I obtain the green boarding pass for my father? Do we get it after we go through security or stop at the main desk before we go through security? Thanks for answering my questions so quickly!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Usually, the first 15 or 20 A numbers are reserved for "business class" which means they pay extra to be guaranteed those numbers. But they are rarely full, so you will most likely board before "40". I believe you will have to go to the counter at the airport (perhaps the gate?) to the the early boarding pass. Double-check - I'm sure there's something on their site. Those with that pass (handicapped) will board first, then Group A will go. After Group A, those with young children are able to board (regardless of Group). Then Groups B and C. Edit: Look here for info on boarding with your father - Southwest Airlines Customers with Disabilities. Notably: Quote:
