Question Booking Air through Disney

I have only done this for our cruise and then realized afterwards that it was alittle more than I could have gotten.

The last few times I have traveled with packages I booked air myself not through the resort where we were staying. I just checked prices for our next trip and checked airline website and theres about a 200 dollar difference.

Just curious to see how many of you book airfare yourself, or go through disney.
I like how easy it is to book right through disney when youre making your resis, but to be able to save a couple hundred, does that out way the convenience?

The last I looked, Disney could get a better deal than I could find anywhere else.

Last time I booked through Disney. We booked that trip about 2 months before we went so it was just easier than searching myself. This time we booked airfare ourselves. It ended up being about $100 less per person searching ourseves, but this trip we booked about 10 months ahead.

i have booked package in the past and then talked with people on the flight and it seemed it can go both ways yes there have been a time there here i could of saved a hundred or more dollars . but then there was a time where i paid a hundred or more .
it is really hard sometimes when you want to book something just too get it out of the way or take the time and find the lowest prices in general . but when you are dealing with disney direct i will say good luck.

I've always done my flights separately.
I let Disney tell me what flights they have if they offer, and it's never been in line with what I actually end up paying. Even when I won a trip, I told the Disney Prize Rep what flights we wanted to take so that I'd know what the cost of them would be(for tax purposes) and she was fine with that.

I can always find better deals than any package plan, so I prefer to do everything myself as opposed to letting anyone else do it.

For my personal reservations I prefer to book with Disney directly. I have clients that book both ways.

I always book my own airfare. My friend prefers the whole package to be together so she finds what flights she wants and then tells the Disney CM what flights to book.
