problems with JetBlue

hi,
We just returned from Orlando. We were off to a shaky start. We were suppose to leave at 8:00 am on Aug 15th. JetBlue called at 1:30am to say that flight was cancelled. They gave no reason for the cancellation. My daughter and I were able to fly to Ft. Lauderdale on 8/15. They gave no compensation for increase in price I had to pay for a rental car and then drive 4 1/2 hours to Orlando. My husband and son were able to fly out on 8/16 into Orlando. I then picked them up and our family vacation was able to get underway. We had four beautiful days in US & IOA. The meal deal there gets very old very quickly, but staying at the Loews Royal Pacific and having front of the line access was wonderful. Then off to Disney we went and so did tropical storm Fay. More about that on the touring website.
Thanks.

i would deffinetly call them up for an expellnation!!! and make sure you have your reciets handy , i would push for reinburstment of anything extra that you had to pay .
if customer service is no help ask for a supervisor or a manager.
I"M SORRY you had to go thru this . but i would not let them get away with it .

Sorry for the trouble you had getting to FL. I'm surprised JetBlue didn't accomodate you better in terms of getting you from the new arrival airport to Orlando.

I would also pursue this further with JetBlue. We flew once, and they announced some seats had tvs that didn't work, so those people could see the agent to get a new seat. They didn't announce any of our seats, so we didn't worry. Once we got on board, the row oldest DS and I sat in had non-working tvs. I think the only seats left to switch to were single seats, and he was around 10 at the time, so I didn't want to move. I complained several times (once we got home, via email I think) and finally got a couple vouchers out of it, they were only for like $20, but I felt better getting some compensation. I would think they would want to make you happy, so definitely send a letter or email to someone!!

Good luck, and sorry for such a crummy start to your trip. We stayed at the Royal Pacific before. I thought it was nice, and you're right, that front of the line access is an AWESOME bonus!

Beth

Definitely call JetBlue and see what they can do for you. Two years ago I changed my flight on JB to leave before a snowstorm hit. There was $180 difference in price that I had to pay for moving the flight. I complained saying that the flight I was supposed to be on in 2 days would be cancelled anyway. The C/S rep told me to check the flight I was supposed to be on and if it was cancelled, let them know. It was and I did and they refunded my $$.

Never hurts to try.

That sound completely unacceptable to me....just ridiculous!! Only 6-1/2 hours notice!!!! I would most definitely be making a huge ordeal about this with Jetblue....and now you have me completely paranoid!!!! We're flying JB in October out of Buffalo!!! Please share what airport you flew out of!!!!

That's terrible that they didn't give you a reason for the cancelled flight! I hope they reimburse you for the rental car.

It doesn't take 4 1/2 hrs. to get from Ft. Laud. to Orlando, though. It is about 3 hrs. (or less).
