National Car Rental Rates Down

If you are renting a car check out National's rate. It has dropped. I originally had a full size car reserved for my week in November and the cost was $213 including tax. Yesterday I requoted it and I got the same car for $130 including tax. I signed in with my Emerald Id number (free sign up online) and used the e-coupon on their website (NF1982JDD) for $30 off. I quoted a premium car also and it came up at $145. I did not want to change because I don't know what the premium car is in Orlando.

that is great savings but if i can make 1 suggestion keep watching prices sometimes they go even cheaper about the 30 day mark. it all has to do with inventory i think .

I couldn't believe it. I think it is better than the infamous 67 code which has been a hot topic on Disboards for the last few months. The 67 code was a code that it's validity for public use was uncertain. I did not want to use it. My current reservation is using codes available to the general public.

I just want a car with a big trunk so that I can fit all of our luggage in it.

I check almost every day. I think that I am going to have a hard time beating my current rate, especially during Thanksgiving week.

Thanks for the offer. I have an Entertainment book also.

I also have a mini van reservation with thrifty for my week for $213 inc tax. I will cancel before I go. I hate to cancel too soon just in case something would happen with National.

Just for yucks, I just quoted a Mini van for my week at National and it was $352. I really would prefer a car so I can hide our luggage in the trunk on our last day.

Since we are fessing up ,LOL, I have one more reservation with Alamo for a standard SUV. It was a little under $200 tax included. I am going to cancel two of them before I leave but I have to leave my options open. I would love to book the premium at National. It was only $145 but I heard that it is a Avalon. The trunk space might be a little tight in there. The full size Impala has a bigger trunk.

I have not done 3 rsvp . LOL i have not found my price range yet for a third you got me there LOL. but this is why i still say keep looking because i even got a really cheap rate 3 days before we left one year . when say people like us start cancealing
they have to keep there numbers at a certain level so they will lower the prices.
this is all me thinking why they do this .

Good sugggestion, I am down to $125 now. I found a better coupon.

You are right on the 30 day mark. I accidentally put in Sep instead of Nov while checking the rates and they were even cheaper.
