Atlanta Airport Questions

My flight is around 8 AM , so we will have to leave around 4AM to get there 2 hours early. ( I wish now I had just driven to Orlando but oh well too late now)

My cousin suggested driving the night before and staying at a hotel, I have read that some hotels have shuttles and you can leave your car there cheaper than the airprot and there are hotels at the airport.

My mom would be LOST if she took us. My DBF has friends in Atlanta he could go visit if he took us I just hate to ask him to get up at 4AM!!! But I have multiple times had to have him at the hospital for tests/airport for flight early. It would be easier on everyone except my pocketbook if we just drove down that AM and left the car.

WWYD?

Anyone here know the ins and outs, hotels and fees at the Atlanta airport?

Rate: $2 per hour; $9 per day ..............this is the cheapest parking option.
There are many hotels nearby for cheap with a shuttle.
Let you friend take you if he can, it'd be best.
for more info.................. Welcome to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

I used to park at the Holiday Inn on Virginia avenue and take their shuttle to the airport. I never had a problem leaving my car there, it was always untouched. There are several hotels on this road, you can always try one of them. It has been several years since I have done this though, I don't know if anything has changed.

I'd like to add that the Atlanta airport has very reasonable parking rates. If your friend can take you that would be best, if not the $9 day parking has a shuttle that will drop you off at the front of the airport. Because it's so large, it can be intimidating...........there are trams that will get you whereever you need to go in seconds. I find it very easy to manuver. As far as hotels, I'd use hotwire to find the cheapest bet or just make the drive early that morning. We live in N Ga also and we've made that early drive too, I cant sleep the night before vacation anyways , so It doesn't pphase me to get up early.
