DME question!

Our flight home has an awful departure time of 7:30 am and I am really hoping that DME operates that early! I'm thinking that the resort check-in isn't open that early even if DME is running. Could I check in before going to bed? Has anyone else left that early?

Yes DME will run that early. They should pick you up at about 4-4:30 AM. I dont think you can check your bags the night before. You will just have to wheel them down to the bus and then wheel them to the ticket counter. I may be wrong on that one, but someone else might know that part of the answer. I do know that when i called WDW and asked them about it they said no they will not let you check the night before.

I believe Resort Air Checkin opens at 5 AM, so I think you will miss that. And I think you can only check the bags up to 3 hours in advance, so you won't be able to check them in the day before (RAC is open from 5-10 AM).

RAC should actually be open 5 am - 1 pm, for flights 3-12 hours in advance. so flights between 1 am and 8 am aren't covered.

So maybe I could check-in about 12:30 am, after MK EMH?

Ohhhhhh...guess I read your post wrong....1:00 PM not 1:00 am! That seems weird to me, wonder why they only stay open until 1:00 pm? Guess you are out of luck if you leave really late, or in my case, realllllly early!

Thanks for the info!

you wont be able to do "resort" check in, but in my case, we always fly Southwest anyhow, so we don't have that luxury anyway. However, you can still go to the front desk up to 24 hours before your flight and they will go online for you and help you check in for your flight and print out your boarding passes, (they will also do this at any of the information centers inside any of the parks) or you can check in yourself using your web browser on your cell phone, and then print the boarding pass at a kiosk when you get to the airport - atleast then it secures your seat/place in line for boarding the plane - this is especially important for Southwest flights, and should always be done right at the 24 hour mark.

If you call bell services a day in advance and schedule a time, they will pick up your luggage from your room and store it until you are ready to leave - it doesn't matter what time you are leaving on DME - you can do this the night before if you want to avoid having to drag it down there yourself.

I was just thinking about all this myself today. We will be at a cabin at F/W, flight is 6 PM, and we have reserved seats. Is we are at Epcot the evening before, is there somewhere there to check in? If we leave the cabin at 7:30 AM to take the ferry to MK, how will we get our luggage to the front desk? will they accept it at that time? Then we have to come back to F/W to take the shuttle to the airport? (I'm looking for reassurance about this whole process). Thanks!!
