| Heroes on Board Quick Question: I just realized we're flying 11:30ish to 2:00ish. Can I bring Deli Heroes on the plane? Ham, Cheese, Turkey??? None of that is forbidden, is it? I won't even put mayo or mustard to avoid the gels/liquid issue |

| I'm pretty sure you can bring your heros on the plane and the mayo too. DH flys frequently and commented to me on a passenger who had a "to-go" meal from a counter place and the passenger was kind enough to ask DH if his eating was going to bother him. Just put your condiments in your handy ziplock for safe measure. |

| I think sandwiches should be no problem. I brought uncrustables and boxes of wheatables, gold fish last trip. No problems! That was the best PB&J ever as I was sooo hungry in the air during lunch!! |

| There shouldn't be an issue at this point. Trust the TSA to change the rules at some point, though. Bringing food through the security checkpoint is one issue, and bringing food onto the plane is the other. For a while, they wouldn't let food through the check-point, so anything you wanted to bring onto the plane had to be purchased in the "sterile area," after you cleared security. Now, that's not the case. Just pay attention to the gels/liquids issue. If you make the sandwiches at home, take the extra, helpful step of putting the sandwiches in clear bags to facilitate a possible hand-search (not that a sandwich should trigger a search). Fortunately, exposure to X-rays shouldn't cook the sandwiches.

| Whenever we fly in the morning, we bring lunch on the plane (since it is a 3 hr flight). We bring bagels or subs from home and have never had a problem getting through security or on the plane with them. Beth |

| My son and I had Subways on a plane once. I think any take-out from the terminal shops would work.
