| Who uses the CARE Airplane seatbelt thing? We just got ours in the mail for our DS. I don't know why but I'm excited to use it. I think our DS will be so excited that he does not have to sit in his car seat. Anyone else used this and like it?

| I believe Jennifer and Dave used it for Alexander, and from what I remembered they liked it. It seems like they had info about it somewhere on this board. Maybe they will come along and provide some info!

| We used it last year for our then 3.5 yo son. We liked it alot compared with the idea of lugging the carseat. My son is/was on the small size and even though he was technically big enough to use the airplane seatbelt, I just didn't feel secure enough without something else. It really is a snap to install - just watch the video a couple of times and once you've done it, you could do it in your sleep. The only problem we had with using it on Southwest...was that the seats are slick and DS kept slipping forward and the the harness was uncomfortable. I posted about this problem on here before and got some helpful suggestions. One that we would probably try if we use the CARES again is to take along some slip proof material (perhaps rubber drawer liner) and make a little mat to sit DS on. That should do away with the slipping and improve his comfort in the restraint. Also, it's not super comfortable for them to try to sleep in unless they have a neck pillow or comfy stuffed animal to prop up their heads with. DS didn't fight us about using it at all since it's exactly like his harness on his carseat. By the way, all the flight attendants who saw it commented on how smart and safe they are and wished that all toddlers' and preschoolers' parents used them. Happy traveling! ![]()

| We'll be using it for the first time this Saturday. We watched the video a couple of times and I think we're ready. Here's the site to buy from: CARES | Kids Fly Safe - CARES | Kids Fly Safe

| We used it for my DD (3) this summer for 2 trips and loved it. It was so much easier than the car seat. Very easy to install. We did have one flight attendant question it, even though we showed her the card and on the device that it was airline approved--she even had to go look in her little flight attendant manual. But she finally relented and said, oh yes, it is specifically mentioned in here. Quick and easy to install and take off. Great investment!

| Great. I still need to watch the video but I feel pretty confident about it. My DH is like are the people behind us going to care. I was like let me worry about them (he hates taking to strangers). We are flying Airtran so hopefully they won't give us a hard time.
