AirTran - How Lame! LOL

So I get up this morning, today is 27 days from the trip and I get an email from AirTran with the "change" of my flights email. Asking me if I accept the changes! LOL

I mean, they've changed my flight about 4 times, I've talked to them on the phone several times, of course I've accepted the flight changes. DUH! LOL

They must only notify you around 30 days out? Maybe they figure they're going to change it so much before the 30 day mark that they should wait to notify you! LOL

Some flights from all carriers get changes often. They sometimes notify, sometimes not(they are suppose to though) Many times if you booked through a travel agent then it is up to the agent to contact you. Part of the GOOD service that you probablly paid for.
You CAN tell them the change is unacceptable and they will help you find another flight. .."The squeeky wheel gets the greese"
Many times changes look sigmificant , but all they are are flight number changes.

Sorry I'm a former AAA travel agent. lol

Airtran has changed my flight at least twice that I know of, and have only asked me once if I approve.

They keep making my vacation shorter, which ticks me off b/c I know that most of the people on the flight are going from Maine TO Orlando, rather than people coming from Orlando to Maine. Their scheduling is backwards. Sorry they're driving you nuts, too.

They've changed ours 3 or 4 times and I never got any notification. Just happened to find out by checking their schedule every few days. Now I'm curious if I'll get some random e-mail about it in a couple of months.

I think it's good advice -- with all airlines -- to check your flights occasionally leading up to your vacation. If the new times don't work, call and have them re-arrange to ones that do. As you get within a few days of the trip, check your flights daily -- sometimes it's just a few minutes, other times it can be hours!

Yvonne, I'm glad you were on top of this!
