| Nashville Ding Fare So, I just got my Southwest Ding Fare Alert. It is one of the 50% of sales, and guess what?...It is for Nashville, and that is where we fly out of. So I put in our dates.....the fares are higher than yesterday. I went to the main SWA site and plugged in my dates, and yup, what was $102.00 yesterday is $199.00 today, but with the ding fare it is $109.00! That is a joke! I love SWA, but dang, that is just plain rotten! Now there are a couple of fares that are $51.00, but it is that late night flight....won't work for us! My mom got her retuning flight for $92.00 a few days ago and now it too is over $100.00 with the ding fare. I just can't believe my beloved SWA would stoop to these tactics! I'm just glad I got my lower fares a long time ago!

| Sorry, it did not work out for you. I am waiting for my husband to call me back and give me permission to book tickets for my DS, DD and me, so I can take a trip back home to Nashville. We were planning on driving from Dallas to Nashville, but the fares are cheap enough that we could fly there now. I hope he says "YES". |

| Wow, I didn't realize they were raising the prices and then taking 50% off!! That's not fair (I'm not happy with their prices right now either)!!

| I am going next thurday to Nashville, I noticed that too, but I got my fares at 60.00 each way, so I am happy with that. but they change their prices like I change my outfits - way too much!

| I've gotta say - the prices may have changed - but it may or may not be related to the sale. I'm flying out of MHT next weekend - and I've been checking fares almost hourly for the last couple of weeks. I was fortunate to get my flights at the exact times I needed for a reasonable (not cheap - but not horrible) rate - but the prices varied over $100 for a one way flight within one day. For the specific flight I booked - the price was $102 when I checked the evening before - skyrocketed to $240 the following morning - stayed there for 2 days - back down to $114 which I grabbed - back up to $200 for a day and a half, down to $99 again (which I switched - giving me a $15 credit for later travel), and then back up to $220, and it's been all over the place. I think part of the issue is the fact that Southwest doesn't charge a change fee - so people book the flight they can get inexpensively - then switch when what they want becomes available - which releases the less expensive fares again. Definitely higher than I've paid in the past - but still a great price - especially when you consider that they don't charge for extras like baggage - gotta include that in your calculations!
