| HI, We will be flying to Orlando and using DME, has anyone had a recent issue with having there luggage getting lost or stolen? Do you suggest getting your luggage or it's not common and just have the luggage delivered to your room? Thanks! |

| I sure haven't heard much about that happening before -- though I'm sure WDW wouldn't exactly broadcast it either! We've used ME since its inception and never had any issues at all. Personally, I'd let them handle the luggage. Just my two cents.....but I wouldn't worry.

| I've used it many times and never had a problem. It may not always arrive as quickly as I'd like, but it's always arrived. But if it gives you peace of mind to collect your luggage first, then you can do that and store it under the bus.

| While Disney certainly wouldn't broadcast those numbers, you'd know if it was happening by the way people would be complaining! The biggest complaint is the length of time it may take to have your luggage delivered. For that reason, if you come in later in the day it would be best to bring anything you may need right away with you (either in your carry-on luggage or by claiming a bag that you didn't tag with the yellow tags). Instances of luggage being "lost" usually ends up tracking back to the guest not using the yellow DME tag; the tag came off; or the bag never made it on the plane from their departure airport. I would trust my luggage with DME over and above the luggage service of say, um, US Airways into Philadelphia!

I was thinking the same thing! You are more likely to have your luggage lost with an airline than with DME. Due to the potential delay of baggage arrival to your room, I would definetly carry the "essentials" with you (depending on what you have planned your first few hours). | |

| I'll echo the above...although Disney wouldn't broadcast it, you'd certainly hear about it if there was a major lost luggage problem. Personally, I LOVED not having to deal with luggage. LOVED it. (especially since with a toddler I had to deal with a stroller and carry ons). It was such a bummer when we got home and we had to wait for the luggage and then trudge it through the airport.

| I'll let you know if mine gets lost when I get back on Monday. I head out tomorrow. LOL DD9 and I picked up our own luggage once because it was late at night but I've never had DME do luggage for me before. I haven't read anything on the boards about DME losing luggage yet so that makes me hopeful that everything will be fine. |

| I spread our clothes out over all the suitcases just in case one gets lost, no-one is completely without clothing. I also put a piece of paper on top of our clothes with our flights and contact information just in case it gets lost so they know where it is supposed to be. Have not had any problems with DME though. Have used them for last 2 trips and will use them again in August.

| We've used DME once without trouble. We checked in and went to MK right away. We got swept up in the moment and before I knew it, it was 1am! We landed at 2pm. So I have no idea how long it took to get our bags. They were in our room at 1:30 am when we returned. I just have clothes and toiletries in the checked bags; all the valuable stuff is with us. I haven't thought twice about using DME; I loved, loved, loved avoiding baggage claim. Have a great trip
