| I would find the Disney transit guide and map out your ADR's. I think I found one on allear.net. I think it is also in the passporter. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. We didn't do this and was late to several ADR's at the Resorts. This will take some planning, but that is half the fun.

| Travelling between resorts is not convenient via the bus system. We have stayed at AKL many times, as it is our favorite resort! Transportation to the parks is generally good, though you really need to allow about an hour to get to another resort since you will need to go to a park first, and then hop a bus or monorail to the resort. For example, to get to Chef Mickey's from AKL, you'd need to take a bus to MK and then the monorail to the Contemporary. If you're in a rush or want a direct trip, you may want to consider a cab.

| Well to go from any resort to another resort by bus is going to require transferring. I would suggest taking the bus to AK since it's closest and transferring to your resort ADR destination from there. Another option is to choose the park that's closest to your destination to transfer. If you're going to Contemporary it might be faster to take the MK bus and then just walk over. I would plan to leave AKL at least an hour ahead of time just to be safe. It probably won't happen, but you could potentially wait 20mins for each bus. The quickest way for any resort to resort transportation (other than the monorail resorts) is by taxi.

| I don't find the AKL bus situation any worse than any other resort. If anything, it's better as you don't have to share with another resort. Anytime you are going resort to resort, it is going ot take you a long time on the busses, as your best bet is to go to a park or DTD and then on to whatever resort you are staying at!

| We stayed at AKL & had no prob. with bus transp. In making my ADR's first I determined my park touring plans, then made my ADR's accordingly. So if I planned to be at MK that evening, I'd make my ADR for Kona Cafe that night. I always plan my dining either near or in the park I'll be at, then there is no problem.

| No matter where you stay on Disney property, hopping from resort to resort can be a pain. (Unless you're hopping on the monorail). That said, the AKL buses were probably the best we've ever deal with. Give yourself plenty of time because you're going to want to go from AKL to the park nearest the resort you'll be dining at (lets say you're eating at Spoodles so you might want to take the bus to DHS and then catch the boat to the Boardwalk). I'd allow at least 60 minutes for this.

| We always make our Resort ADRs for times where we will be coming from a Park (rather than a resort) so we don't have to deal with taking 2 busses. The only exception is the Monorail Resorts which are very easy to to back and forth from (We like to walk to the Poly in the morning from the GF for Breakfast and then Monorail back)

| We always plan 1 1/2 hours to get to different resorts. After 9-11 when all of the companies jumped on the "Rats leaving a sinking ship" syndrome by cutting back services and laying off hundreds, Disney’s was right there and cut back their transportation big time. They closed down 1 or 2 bus stops, dropped routes, and the wait time for a bus rides went from something like 20 min to 45 min. One of the cuts was the bus route that went from resort to resort. Transportation isn’t a problem if you plan in advance. It’s nice to hear that AKL isn’t on a multiple stop route. The worst place we ever stayed was Saratoga Springs because the building we were staying at was one of the last bus stops. We literally waited for 3 buses to get to a park.

| Having stayed at AKL several times, the buses aren't bad. You don't share with any other resort. Do as others have suggested - either plan your ADRs around your park touring or take a bus to AK and then catch the resort bus. |
