| FYI: East Coast Rail Travel DC Examiner: "CSX is proposing an $842 million plan to raise roofs on bridges and lower some railroad tracks across the mid-Atlantic so that it could carry double-stacked cargo containers on its trains. " CSX seeking double-stacked freight trains through D.C. | Washington Examiner IF, and when they get it all done, it might allow for the Auto Train to have a more northern terminal, I'm thinking maybe NY or NJ...

| I Would be shocked if they moved father north... because they are backed mostly by the Government. The might add a superliner service onto some exsisting trains they have, prehaps evenadding more service, but going all out and moving the whole station north.. I don't see it. I was just looking on Googleearth to confirm, and yes it also goes underground through some tracks in Baltimore ( norfolk southern I believe but don't quote me) So Superliners won't fit through there either.. at least not from new york... Pittsburgh on the other hand, and following the same route as the capitol limited (already a superliner) might work... and connellsville (about 20 miles downline from pittsburgh) has a lot of room to build.
