| Southwest Airlines TSA "Secure Flight" information request Just received an email from Southwest (as a rapid reward member) asking me to update my account with Full name, Date of Birth and Gender due to the new TSA Secure Flight rules. When I booked my flights (have flight book for Washington DC in November and Orlando in December) I gave no information other than my name. Has anyone else received an email asking them to update their account for the new TSA requirements? Thanks.

| Yes I got one as well, and if you have a flight previously booked this won't affect that flight. But for future flights you'll have to have your name on the tickets as it appears on your ticket. Its a new TSA requirement and each airline as their system gets the upgrade to accommodate the Middle Name/Initials will require new bookings to have the full info.

| Yes, I got the same email and tried to update it online and kept getting the error message that the page was unavailable. I called SWA and I guess many people were doing the same because my estimated wait time was between 36 and 45 minutes. I told the customer service agent about the email and she said all the Rapid Rewards members were getting it and she checked mine and both mine an DH's information was there on the RR account, but for some reason they were having problems attaching dates of birth to the actual reservation. I'll call a week or so before we leave to double check that all is in order. |

| Thanks for the info on the new TSA stuff. I remembered hearing about it way back but I guess the email just surprised me. I updated this AM so I should be all set for flights booked in the future.

| I didn't get the email but I'm not a Rapid Rewards member. We just booked a SWA flight earlier this week for our trip in January. It only asked for our first and last names so that's what I put in. I hope we'll be okay I worried about this before our last trip but it was just before this was being phased in for some airlines so we weren't affected.

| Wow good thing I read this! I got this email from Southwest, but I didn't even open it-I almost deleted it, but something made me save it to read later. I'll have to update everything, but I bought my tix way back in May I think, so this doesn't even affect me, right? |
