| No Early Bird check in on SW for me!!! And still got great seats! I posted before the trip about my A boarding group for our flight into MCO. I worried more about our flight coming home. I was all ready to check in on my phone while we had dinner at Akershus. Then I realized after dinner that I forgot!!!!! I got right on and checked in 25 minutes late....and STILL got A boarding group!! (A 55, 56, 57) Just goes to show that this early bird thing isn't really doing much.....

| Glad it worked out for you. I have chosen to do the early bird check-in for our up-coming trip in December. However, we are doing it just because it is convenient for us not to have to worry about finding a computer at the 24 hour mark to check-in. I really prefer not to be stuck in between people that I don't know which is why I like to check-in at the 24 hour mark.

| Interesting to hear. I'm still glad I've got the early bird service though. I think it'll take some of the pressure off us, trying to check-in at 24 hours at 8am on Christmas Day! ![]()

| When we checked in for our departure day,we got A group even checking in 25 mins late. Our leave for home day we got B group checking in at the airport. We had an advantage. My mom was with us and since she needed a wheelchair we got priority boarding. It was real cool cause we got near the front both times.

| Should I get EB check in? We won't be going down until Sept 2010, but there will be 4 of us and we plan to fly SW. Should I be worried about getting EB check in? I would hate for us to spread out all over the plane. Also, can someone tell me, what if you have connecting flights - do you have to purchase EB check in for each leg or just one for the entire flight?

| I am pretty sure that you just pay $10 per person, per direction. So you could choose to pay for the outbound flights and/or the returning flights, but it wouldn't cost more than $20 pp round-trip. (At least that's what I think!) I paid for the early bird check-in, because we're going Christmas week, and I think it might be harder than ever to get A boarding without it at that time. I will definitely post about my experiences when I get home!
