| Ultra-Light Luggage After just squeaking by under the 50 lb mark on my last trip I am thinking about investing in some lightweight luggage. Anyone have a brand they love? Suggestions? Brands that you've had and hated? Thanks!

| I would lift them up and compare, some of those say ultra light or feather lite, really aren't so much. If you have one of those portable luggage scales with the hook on it, even better. I don't know what the regulations are (if any) to be able to say ultra light, but buyer beware.

| Costco is another good place to look. I just got a Samsonite set in Aug. for our trip- a mid size, roller carry on and tote for I think it was $150 at the most. It was their light weight.

| We have lightweight frameless luggage over here and it's great. I think the brand is International Traveller...

| I really, really like my new suitcase. It's by International Traveler and it's a hard shell. Very light and easy to wheel. Plus, since I got a clearance set that was white with pink polka dots, it's easy to spot at the luggage carousel. They have some nice patterns and some solids. And, after 4 trips, it still cleans up well with a Mr. Clean magic eraser.

| We bought two large suitcases by Heys Heys Ballistica-Lite2® 30" Upright - Ballistic Nylon Lightweight Luggage before our trip in June and we also bought a luggage scale HEYS xScale® - The World's Smallest Portable Luggage Scale which is quite handy, it was also made by Hays. We pack our suitcases and then weigh them. Even coming home, they were only a few pounds heavier then when we went down. I think they only weighed about 30 lbs coming home. These are really light suitcases and that was fully packed. Last edited by Mystic; 11-22-2009 at 09:22 AM.. |
