TTC tipping? We are going to be using TTC this next trip (van, though, since we'll have 5 people) We'll have 4 suitcases and a stroller. Can I just add the tip to the total I pay up front on Visa and then pay the return driver a cash tip or do I need to keep the tip and fee separate from the start? And how much would be appropriate? Thanks!

| Re: TTC tipping? Dawn, I always have three envelopes. One is the fee(minus the $8 Passporter coupon) and the other two are Tip Envelopes. I tip $10 each way. I hope you get Gerard Lamy for your van driver!!! If so, tell him the Braddicks said Hi!!! LOL!! He's great! As far as the Visa goes, I can't answer that question as we have always paid the cash. | Re: TTC tipping? We did the same with the three envelopes. I was just wondering about the van- as last time we had a town car as there were 2 of us- this time there will be 5. We had planned on tipping the same amount to each driver but the lady we had on the way back was not good at all- she couldnt even bother to tell us her name- so she lost a chunk of her tip. However, Keith Hinkle, who took us to WDW and got our vacation off to a magical start got all of his and then some! Have a great time! |

Re: TTC tipping? Whether you can or can't do this, I don't know. I would suggest tipping in cash though. We used TTC this past October (had the same driver to & from) and paid via Visa for the RT, but tipped in cash (I think about $20 - there were 7 of us, and about 10 suitcases/backpacks). Remember that tipping is NOT required, and only if you received good service and tip what you think is appropriate (15-20% for good service is what we do). Your best bet may be to call the company you're using and ask them the best way to handle it. Good luck!

Re: TTC tipping? Hi graygables: I guess we were ahead of the curve in 2002 as we had our own Magical Gathering (My family of 5, MIL and FIL, and my BIL family of 4). We had TTC pick us up and our driver was right on time. Met us in the baggae pick up, loaded our luggage onto a couple dollies and loaded his van like a puzzle with so many bags and was extremely wonderful. The return ride was also just as enjoyable. We tipped in cash ($20) both times, I always feel bad tipping on the credit card as I feel the person will some how get ripped off by the employer. Good luck and remember the magic. Jerry

Re: TTC tipping? We also used TTC this past November and were thoroughly pleased with our service. We charged the fare, but kept the 2 tips in separate envelopes. Since we also made a grocery store stop on the way to ASMu, the tip going to the resort was more than the other so I put the dates on the outside of the envelopes.Kathy ----------------------- Port Orleans Riverside - May 1996, 1999, 2001, June 2002, November 2002 Yacht Club - November 2002 ASMu - November 2003

Re: TTC tipping? We usually tip in cash seperate from the trip fee. i think that $10 for the usual friendly service for 4 people. If you have more people with extra luggage and/or the driver helps install car seats or other extra help I would tip higher. Anyway you will be happy with TTC.
