We are back - had magical trip! We were at Disney from 2/21 to 2/25. Our flights to Orlando were great and right on time. TTC was there to pick us up and we did the grocery stop at Albertson's which worked out great. I had faxed my list to them so the stop took no more than 10 minutes. Checkin at the Contemporary was smooth sailing, as usual. We had a wonderful CM named Lori who got us Room 4738 on the 11th floor facing the Magic Kingdom. The view was wonderful and the elevators were a few steps away from our door. Even with the rain on 2/24 the trip was perfect. We rode in the Animal Kingdom Parade on 2/23 on Mickey's float which was the highlight of the trip. We were shocked when asked if we were interested and could hardly believe it. Even though lots of rain was forecasted for 2/25, our last day, we did not get rained on at all and spent the entire day in Magic Kingdom. The trip home, however, was a disaster. The weather in Atlanta caused lots of delays and we did not leave Orlando airport until nearly 10 pm. We had a bumpy ride and landed in Atlanta about 15 minutes after our flight home took off without us. We had to wait in line for over an hour at the Delta ticket counter to get rebooked on a flight for the next day and then had to find our own hotel room. Luckily we did but when we woke up the next morning it was snowing. We had more delays and canceled flights but finally got a flight into Baton Rouge, LA late in the afternoon on 2/26 and then rented a car to drive home (about an hour away). We were glad to get home after spending nearly 24 hours in the airports and very thankful this mess happened on our way home and not on our way to Disney. Now we are trying to decide when to take our next trip. Probably late April or early May of 2005 so we can visit the water parks and see the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Be on the lookout for my trip report.

Re: We are back - had magical trip! Sorry to hear about your journey home, but it sounds like you had a magical time while you were in Disney, which is the main thing. I can't wait to read your trip report - especially more about your star appearance in the AK parade!

Re: We are back - had magical trip! Jennifer, we weren't doing anything except standing near the face painting booth waiting for DD to get her face painted. Now that I think about it, we did have Mardi Gras beads on so maybe that had something to do with it. We escaped Mardi Gras in Louisiana and alot of the Disney CM's seemed to know about Mardi Gras taking place during that time.

Re: We are back - had magical trip! Maggie, Yes, they had everything ready when I got to the store. I called them from the airport to let them know approximately what time I would get there and it was already bagged and waiting at the Customer Service counter. All I had to do was pay for them and go. On my fax I included my Albertson's Preferred Card # so they already had the groceries totaled. It is a wonderful service.

Re: We are back - had magical trip! I am working on my trip report and should have it up in the next week or so. I will try to attach some of the pictures if I can figure out how to do it. We do have a couple of pictures that we took of ourselves and the crowd at the parade. We weren't allowed to take pictures in the back lot and the picture the CM took of us coming out of the back lot at the start of the parade came out dark - just our luck. But we have a few others that are pretty good. We had to wear a safari vest and hat during the parade similar to the ones the CM's wear in it.

Re: We are back - had magical trip! Hmm. That's interesting. I will have to keep that in mind. We do not have albertsons here in Chicago, but we have Jewel Osco which is a subunit??? of Albertsons. I wonder if they would accept my Jewel card? Do you need to have an Albertson's preferred member card to get this service? Maggie

Re: We are back - had magical trip! No, you don't have to have an Albertson's Preferred Card. I just included it so I could save a few dollars if any of the stuff on my list was on special at that time. From what I understand, anyone can use this service!
