Great deals on United Hi everybody, I never fly United, but I just got an e-mail from Travelocity saying that United's fares have dropped to $98 round-trip. The two examples I saw were $98 RT from Minneapolis to LAX, and $98 RT from Minneapolis to Orlando. Both looked like they were good through mid-November??? Thought I'd post here in case this helps anybody! Good luck!! Sandy

Re: Great deals on United Sorry, smallworld, but I think it came and went. Several hours after I posted this, I got a second e-mail notice from Travelocity saying the fare had gone back up. It apparently was one of those "buy now or pay more later" fares. Sorry to hear you missed it. You might want to go back to Travelocity and sign up for their e-mail service though -- you can sign up for up to 5 (I think?) destinations, and they'll send you an e-mail notice every time one of those fares jumps more than $50 -- up or down. I think I've heard Jean say that they change those fares as often as every 4 hours, so an e-mail notice can really help save you $$$$$. Sandy

Re: Great deals on United I don't know if this helps where you are, but I just booked this morning through Southwest Airlines 5 round trip tickets from Providence RI for only $547.50! They are running a special $49 each way to and from Florida. We are going in September and I think the special is good for travel through Sept 30th! Good luck!
