Cheap, but clean motels?

We're driving down to WDW (from Ohio) on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I forgot that this will be a very busy traveling day and haven't made reservations for a motel. We don't often stop when traveling to spend the night, so I have no idea what is a decent motel to stop at. Do you have any ideas? We're thinking of stopping maybe somewhere near Atlanta. I would love to spend less than $80 if possible!!!!

Thanks in advance for your help!
Sallie...8 days and counting!

Hi Sallie

Do you have AAA? And if so, can you get to one and get the travel book for the area you want to stop in? If not, let me know and I'll pull mine out (I've got the books for all the states we're driving through on our trip this weekend - neurotic travel planner that I am ) and find you something

Re: Cheap, but clean motels?

Have you done a search on expedia.com or travelocity.com? You don't necessarily have to book a room through them, but you can get some good info on what's out there!

Re: Cheap, but clean motels?

hotels along I 75 are abundant and cheap. A quick google search turned up mainly Hampton Inns from Ga state line to Macon in the $53 range.

AAA has online search along with triptiks. Also ever so slightly discounted tickets to WDW. I also would do a travelocity search after doing a mapquest with the I-75 exits.

have a safe and fun trip

Hampton Inns is a good choice and I like the Ramada Limited. Just tried them for the first time on a trip in Nov. Don't remember if there were any near Atlanta.

I'm a big fan of Courtyards and Hampton Inns, when traveling on the road - always clean, always a free breakfast, small workout room, some have indoor pools - you can't beat 'em! Good luck!
