| Re: Here\'s a website for 101 things to with kids on a roadtrip! What a great site! I just got back from a 12 hr (700 mile) trip to SC with my 5 yr old daughter. It was basically a test run for our drive from Philly to Disney in July. We listened to Junie B Jones audiobooks (picked up from the library), and she did a lot of art on the car window--using Crayola Window Markers. Our next trip will include Daddy, so I definitely need games to help us all keep our sanity. I bet the two will make some cool tinfoil critters! |

| Re: Here\'s a website for 101 things to with kids on a roadtrip! I have a funny story, last yr we drove to hershey with 6 kids, dd17 her bf17, ds16 his gf16, dd8 and ds2. I was thinking of things to keep them all entertained, we had the usual games, car bingo, license plate game etc, but I made my own game I filled a large soda bottle with dry rice, then I put in small objects(safety pin, thumb tack, hair clip, button,m&m etc.I had about 25 different things in there and they had to take turns rolling the bottle around in their hands and write down what they spotted. well they found eveything but I told them that there was still two more items in there(not really though!) I had them going for about 15 more mins and I leaned over to my dh and said there's not really anything left and he just cracked up--then they figured out I was only kidding. we all had a good laugh, it killed some time though so that was good. |

| I don't know if they list this on the website, but when we drove from Austin, TX to WDW with our then four year old, my wife made sure to have a different box of toys/games and other stuff to do for each day of the trip. That way, it was something different every day so he didn't get as bored. We're flying this year - thank you, frequent flier miles! -B

| Just a tip to add to your driving strategy. We drove to WDW for our first trip when our son was four. My wife (a teacher) made two activity bundles containing games, books, videos, etc for each day on the road and labeled them for the day and then morning or afternoon. That way our son had something new every couple of hours and it kept him entertained from Texas to Florida and back.
