Re: Just got off the phone with AA regarding DME...

Good luck to you, and I hope it doesn't ruin the trip for you! Is it still possible for you to change & book a car service instead, so you have peace of mind?

What? Are you positive? What resort are you staying at? So they are stoppping the luggage end of magical express?

I'm going to get the official scoop for you. I work again tomorrow for a few hours and I'll get all the information for everyone. If they stop luggage service, what is the point of magical express???????

PS: as of yesterday, this was not true. I'm hoping it's not.

Re: Just got off the phone with AA regarding DME...

The DME has turned out to be such a nightmare. And I have to say that I am surprised because normally Disney does most everything well. I think part of the problem is that there are too many variables that can go wrong with this service - some of it out of WDW hands - you know, too many hands in the kitchen, so to speak.

It's just a nightmare and I would not sign up for DME express; I would just book a car and get myself there. It would help the sanity level of my vacation for sure.

Re: Just got off the phone with AA regarding DME...

Okay, now I am even more I was told by my AA agent that if I called Disney that they would refer me back to AA (since I did not book w/ Disney) so not to call them. Well after reading Kelly's post I decided to call-- what would it hurt- Huh?

So I called DME (866-599-0951). I was told the info I received from AA was wrong. The CM told me that I will not receive my luggage vouchers due to a printing error but that I should receive plastic luggage tags. She said that they would have Tinkerbell or HCOE on them. We are to go to the main terminal and find the the blue blazer "mickey gloved" people. They will then take us to the welcome center and take care of our luggage from that point on. From what the CM told me- the Blue blazer people will get my luggage and then take it to our rooms.

I explained to the CM that the AA agent read to me a document that was from Disney. She asked me to fax the letter to her once I receive it b/c sometimes other companies represent Disney and give out false information.

How confusing!!!!! So bottom line..... from what the CM said she has all three of us in the system and we are set to receive the full DME service.

The CM is going to let her supervisor know what AA told me so that they can clear up this confusion.

I am sorry I did not want to cause any problems on the BB or spread rumors. I am just glad that I called DME directly!!!

I was told by the CM if anyone has any questions to call them directly (no matter who you booked with) so they can help you.

FYI-- the CM asked that since my luggage will not have the actual voucher tags on them to put ribbons or stickers on the luggage so they would be able to locate it easier.

Good luck everyone!!!
