Rental car prices for December...

I was just making a few tenative reservations (DH forgot our anniversary...I'm goin' to WDW!!! ) Anyway, I looked at Alamo at a full-size for a week in December and it was only $118? That seemed really cheap to me, so I reserved it. It's cheaper than DCL buses/town car, granted, I'll have to pay to park while we're on the cruise, but it's a good deal!

Anyone else getting good pricing on rentals?

Re: Rental car prices for December...

Me, me, me

Since I'm still trying for the December trip, I have a full sized reserved for both weeks that I'm contemplating. For 8 days, I've got it for $155 including all taxes and fees, with National.

I've never seen it so low

Re: Rental car prices for December...

Hmmm.. I have a rental for 11 days for $238 (all taxes and fees included).. I'm hoping that'll come down some. I've been wondering if that's a good rate or not, myself. (It's for November, not December)

Dawn, is that the weekly rate or the total after taxes? As a weekly rate its very good for a full-size. If that's the total including tax it's the best rate I've ever seen!

Either way, did you use any coupons or codes? I've currently got a mid-size reserved for Dec 1-5 using the code and a free day coupon from Sam's Club for $107.40 including tax.

Re: Rental car prices for December...

Will, to clarify since I discovered I'd made an "oopsie" on my Alamo ressie, I fixed it and these are the new grand totals w/ tax:

Alamo, Full-size, one week, $125.13 (Entertainment Book)

National, Mid-size, one week, $117.55 (Entertainment Book)

If people don't have the Entertainment book, GET ONE!!! It more than pays for itself with the local coupons, but the travel discount are pretty good, too!
