More good reasons for me to be obsessed with Knoebels...

From their most recent newsletter:

[ QUOTE ]
Golden Ticket Awards Announced

Each year Amusement Today magazine runs a readers' poll to learn what parks excel in a number of categories. This year's results were announced on August 27th and Knoebels has again received a number of honors. For the eighth year in a row Knoebels has received the Golden Ticket for having the Best Food of any park anywhere. (Look for us on a Food Network special next May)

Other honors include being voted the 3rd best park behind only Cedar Point and Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. We tied for 4th for friendliest staff, and the Haunted Mansion was voted second best dark ride ahead of even the Disney rides. The Phoenix was voted the 5th best wooden rollercoaster and Twister is number 29.

Not that I have any love lost for Disney, but Knoebels is pretty special, too.

I'll be watching for that Food Network special Chrissi. Since I know so little about this park it will be interesting to watch.

Knoebel's has always been one of the best regional amusement parks.

Re: More good reasons for me to be obsessed with Knoebels...

I am surprised to see Disney only twice on that list. Weird. I don't know how they judge but I am scratching my head on how Cedar Point can be the "best amusement park". Yeah it has some great rides but I found the food to be just barely edible, the staff to be rude and the park was very dirty. Whatever.

Re: More good reasons for me to be obsessed with Knoebels...

We just took our first trip to Knoebles this summer and can't wait to go back! We absolutely loved it, and since DH and I really don't go on many rides, the price can't be beat!! (It's free to get in, you just need to pay for the rides you go on.)
