| I have family that is flying into Denver to watch a baseball game. Which area is the best to book a hotel, near the airport or near the ballfield? If it's like Atlanta, I wouldn't stay near the field. TIA!

| I've only been to Denver once - but it was a really nice city! We didn't visit the ballfield - although I'm pretty sure that it is close to downtown. We stayed at the Adam's Mark - as that was where our competition/conference was being held. It was really nice - I ended up with a huge room up at the top of the tower - and the kids I was chaperoning were down on the 4th floor!! (Good planning - huh???) We did head over to the Water park (on Fortissimo's advice!) on our free day, and had a blast!! We took the bus there and back with no trouble at all - although Amanda was a little nervous riding through some of the lower income areas. Personally - I thought it looked incredibly nice for an urban area - nothing like the rough sections of Boston!!! I took a quick look at the RTD schedule - you can take a bus from the main downtown shopping loop (loved that - there is a free bus that takes you around the Mall area) right to Coors Field. Any of those downtown hotels would be fine to stay at - I felt almost as safe there as I do in Disney!

| I, too, have only stayed downtown. I am not sure where the ball field is but we stayed at the Hyatt Regancy. Its near the convention center and there is a whole shopping district a few blocks away that is closed to traffic. Its a really nice city. |
