| bald head island Anybody visited Bald Head Island? We're going to Holden Beach again with my in-laws in a couple weeks and Andy and I want to take a day trip to Bald Head b/c we've never been. I really want to see the lighthouse cause that's one of my things  And I think it would be a nice romantic little time for us We plan to rent a cart and putter around the island for the morning and into the early afternoon.... pick up lunch at the Maritime Market and eat lunch on the beach. I really want to go to the far end of the island, the Frying Pan Shoals area...Anybody have any recommendations or thoughts on visiting the island for a little daytrip?

| We love, love, loved Bald Head Island. We did a day trip there from Myrtle Beach, SC a few years ago. There are no cars allowed on the island, but you can rent bikes or golf carts - and it's a nicer way to take in the sights, too! We loved having a golf cart. There are viewing spots for so many different types of wildlife, especially bald eagles. Cape Fear is there, look for the marker near the coast. There are so many neat things to see and do, yet it is so peaceful. Have a good time, Bald Head Island is a no-miss!
