| We are off to Seaford, Delaware tomorrow, via BWI. Just wondering if anyone from the area has any suggestions as to where to grab a bite to eat between the airport and the Bay Bridge. Just looking for either an area/exit with a good selection or perhaps a local favorite. Thanks for your help!!

| Yes! There's a great place right of of US 50; it's actually 6 miles AFTER the Bay Bridge, but before the 50/301 split. There's a place called The Crab Deck in Grasonville, right off (1/8 mi) of Exit 42. They are affiliated with a more formal restaurant, Fisherman's Inn, at the same location. I used to live in the DC area and would often go to Ocean City for vacation -- this was almost always my stop on the way out and on the way back for the first/last crab dinner of the vacation! Enjoy! | Many people have a favorite place on, or near Kent Island, which is the first land you come to on the other side of the Bridge. We don't usually stop there as it is not half-way for us, we usually stop in Cambridge, MD. I am sure some of our passporters will have some reccomendations, and I'll look some up for you as well. I think many folks from the area would agree that the 'taste of the town' is seafood, mainly crabs! Otherwise there is some good BBQ (for Maryland, at least). Here is an article from the WAshington Post: Sun, Surf & Sand (washingtonpost.com) You might need to sign up for access, but it may be worth it to you.

| Oooh, sorry I missed this post, as this is my neighborhood! I was going to suggest downtown Annapolis or something on the outskirts. Kent Island is very nice and I do like the Fisherman's Inn. For a quick bite I recommend the Double T Diner in Annapolis. Their crab cakes are to die for and they are right off of Route 50 in Annapolis, and you can get right back on when you are done. |
