| Is cheap a special need? I’ve heard of special needs vacationing (my mother certainly has them), but is "super cheap" a special need to you? All this talk about gas prices, terrorism, global warming’s a real downer for long-distance trips. Geez, I mean we’re even thinking of abandoning our timeshare near the beach. It’s not like it’ll get any cheaper to visit, and they’re harder to scrape off than a barnacle. Pity, I liked that place. Anyone just planning a staycation? Where are the tourist sites in your neighborhood? In your neighborhood? In your neighborho-ood (hehe :P I miss Mr. Rogers ). |

| I'm thinking cheap isn't really a special but a mandatory need. But this probably isn't the board for it, you might have better advice on general topics or in the villa area. Then again I'm a total newbie myself... That’s sad news about your abandoning your timeshare. I can empathize, since I tried to get rid of mine a little while ago myself. Since I don’t live where you do I can’t offer any concrete advice, but on my end I used timeshare relief to help get out of it. Anyway to answer your question I'm pretty lucky to be living near a bunch of museums and such. In between tivo'd episodes of galactica and the movies I've missed this year I'll visit them. | Hi and welcome! Yes, you might consider posting in the general discussion forum. I think everyone might like to chime in on the subject. It would be good for you to introduce yourself, if you have not yet done that.

| Welcome to the Boards! My parents had that same special need for years. Still do, except I got them to anti up with us and stay in the Wilderness lodge this year! I had already booked and paid for our vacation when they decided they wanted to go. So they hesitantly booked the same resort. We are doing Disney for the first time with our kids--mostly because they are finally old enough to ride all the rides, and they will remember it. Also because with economy the way it is, we figure live it up while you can! Next year will probably be back to camping locally, or daytrip to Kings Island.
