| We are leaving for Cancun in 2 days and I can't believe what I just found out?! I didn't even think to check our passports prior to today. I just pulled them out and guess what? My husband's passport expires on Aug 4, 2008. Mexico requires that your passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. I've heard that Mexico is one of the countries that is not always strict with this policy. If you are just on a short trip i.e., family vacation, they may allow you to enter. Please send pixies that all goes well. I so believe in the power of the pixie!! TIA ![]()

| I don't believe you have the most up-to-date info - I would check the accuracy with your TA.

| Thank you all sooooo much! Here's to POWER!!We leave tomorrow and I'm very excited, but very worried we will have problems with the passport. I spoke to a friend in Cancun who spoke to a Mexican immigration agent. She was told that we shouldn't have any problems, but it is up to the specific agent on duty. ![]()

Actually, that's true...I don't remember when the start date is...but you will need your passport to get back into the USA...you won't have any problems getting into Mexico. It all has to do with illegal immigration and the US getting tighter on who comes into the US...but how do they know you're not just visiting? Anyway...like I said...I don't know when the start date is for that, or even if it's started yet. I know that the date was pushed back once...so you may be alright. Your TA should be able to give you the info you need re: your passport! You may still be able to get back in with a Drivers License (photo ID) and birth certificate...I'd take them just in case.
