| Girls getaway to Vegas My friends and I are planning a weekend getaway to Vegas for next April. We're not big gamblers so we'd like to see some shows and stuff. Any recommendations? I've never been there ( Thanks for any advice! |

| Be sure not to miss the water fountain show in front of the Bellagio Not sure how long you'll be there. If you have a few days, definitely consider a trip to the Grand Canyon or at least the Hoover Dam. If you fly, you can do that during the day and still hit the Strip later that night

| We saw Wayne Brady at the Venetian and he was great. If you are into musicals Mamma mia and Jersey Boys are out there. I think Donny and marie are also doing a show out there and I have heard Rita Rudner is pretty good. My folks like Danny Ganz as well. I would also suggest just walking around some of the hotels and shops. It's amazing what they do in some of the hotels. If you love Mexican food check out Yolos in Planet Hollywood, great food. Went there like 4 times in two trips to Vegas. If you love Burgers, hit the Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay Place. It was really good and you can make up burgers the way you want. Really cool. And if you are going to splurge price wise on a meal definitely look at Delmonico's at the Venetian and the Strip House(steakhouse not a dinner theater I have been to Vegas three times this year so feel free to message me with any more questions.

| I just got back from my annual trip to Las Vegas. I can second going to a Cirque show. I've done O twice, Mystere twice and Love. I highly recommend all of them. I just sa Jersey Boys and enjoyed it a lot. I've also seen Rita Rudner - and she would be fun with a group of girls. Danny Gans is closing at the Mirage this fall. I haven't heard if he's moving anywhere else. Donnie and Marie are opening soon at the Flamingo. There are so many good shows out there. Any thoughts on the type of show you'd all like to see? As far as the Bellagio water show I highly recommend it. My favorite place to watch it from is the outside seating area of the restuarant Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. They don't take reservations, but it's worth the wait. You see a show about every 15 minutes and you get to people watch as well. The food is really good (it's a french bistro steak house, but has good seafood and vegetarian dishes as well) and they have a nice selection of wines by the glass. If you want a taste of WDW there is an Earl of Sandwich in the Planet Hollywood mall.

| I agree about the Belaagio fountains. **sigh** I also love the volcano at the Mirage and Freemont Street. Take a Double Duce bus for $2 down to Freemont Street in the evening. Plan to spend a couple of hours there. The show is at the top of the hour.

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is cool and so are the white tigers at the Mirage. You've also gotta do at least one buffet. I don't normally even like buffets, but the Bellagio's is AMAAAAZING. Especially breakfast! If you like chocolate and have a car, there is a big Ethel M store nearby with a little factory tour and the candy is out of this world. Have fun!

| Check out which bands may be playing at the Hard Rock Cafe- it's off the strip but easy to get to. Also we like to visit the Star Trek attraction at the Hilton hotel (also off strip). I second Ethel's choc factory too (lots of vouchers in the tourist books - 2 for 1 etc). In Oct we are seeing Elton John and hopefully LOVE - so much to see but so little time....this visit we are actually spending 13 days in Vegas - my longest yet and I can't wait!

| I agree with everyone......Vegas is great........we just went in May on our annual trip.....when I want to find out what is playing in Vegas I go to Las Vegas Hotels - Las Vegas Shows - Las Vegas Entertainment | VEGAS.com, I have bought all my show tickets there for the last few years. Don't miss the comics at the Improv at Harrah's, if you get VIP tickets you get a free hat or t shirt and get to meet the comics after the show. Have fun!!!!
