| I've heard nothing but great things about the Iberostar Resorts in the Mayan Riviera (south of Cancun Mexico.) My friend said it was by far the best vacation her family has ever taken. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts

| I've heard good things recently about Club Med and I've always been interested in the Beaches resorts (the family versions of Sandals). It might depend on whether you lean toward Mexico or the Caribbean...

| I have been to both - the Beaches Turks and Caicos and we also went to Iberostar Parisio Beach on the Riviera Maya. They were both very nice and I would go back to either in a heartbeat. The biggest difference was that the Beaches are all gourmet dining and top shelf liquors. The foods at Iberostar were just average - not bad but nothing too impressive. Same story with the drinks at Iberostar - just average limited choices of alcohols and beers.

| Go tropical especially with a 17 year old. Great Wolf is fun for the 13 year old but the 17 year old will think it's lame. You can't go wrong with teenagers and beaches. I heard wonderful things about Beaches in Turks & Caicos also.
