I'll be in DC in 48 hrs and I don't have a plan....

I leave in less then 48 hours for DC. It's a business trip but I'll have my evening free. I've never been to the area and I don't even have a clue on what to do.

I'll have a car and I'll have to eat and It will be about 6 pm before I am truly free of work on most of the days (5 nights total on a 7 night trip, I'm free) I'll be with at least one other person.

Any ideas, suggestions, must dos in DC at night.

I'm kind of a foodie so any restaurant recommendations would be great. It's not going to be a sight seeing tour but I'd like to get something in.

I am staying very near the convention center.
