| Wow! Friends of ours were just trying to talk us into sharing a home with them for a week next summer, and this was one of their selling points to us, knowing how much the boys like amusement parks.

| As close as we live (about 3 hours), I don't actually know anyone that has visited it. It's a shame. I hope they can pull it out of bancrupcy and that they can get the number of people in the gates to keep it going in the future.

| Already?! Wow that was fast!? I was hoping to go down there and ride the Led. Zep. ride. I hope they end up reopening it in 09' as planned. We'll see.... Last edited by Disneydiana; 09-25-2008 at 11:20 AM. |

| That's a shame - it doesn't seem like they allowed enough time to catch on - very few businesses make a profit in the first year of operation. Evidently they didn't have the financial backing to ride out the first few years before they saw a profit. I don't think a lot of people were even aware of the park - they didn't do much advertising. I was hoping we would have a chance to visit it!

| Sounds like the credit crunch got to them; this probably isn't the best economy for such a venture. They say they plan to reopen next year so hopefully it goes a little better after their restructuring.

| That's too bad. Hopefully they can get things going soon. The park was right across the street from our vacation club resort we stayed at last summer. That whole area was like a ghost town, only a couple of hotels and the Medieval Times show and a church was about all that was open. I was hoping the park would revitalize the development, I guess it will take more time.

| We were planning a trip to Myrtle Beach for next summer that's since been canceled, but the Hard Rock Park was one of the big sells. From what I know of it, the park was expensive with not much going on. There were maybe ten rides at most, and they were charging a good $50-$60 a ticket. A lot of locals complained and didn't think it would last long, and it looks like they were right. It's a shame, though, because it was a really cool idea for a theme park!

| We were maybe planning a trip there next summer and that was one of the places we wanted to check out. I didn't realize how expensive the tickets were $50 for 3 and older that is crazy. Maybe they will restructure and open with more reseasonable prices and more things to do and see.

| That is too bad...I was seriously considering a visit but then early reviews were very dismal.
