| Key West Restaurants? We are spending five nights in Key West over New Year's, whoo hoo! We've been twice before on cruise ships so we are familiar with what there is to do activity-wise, but for food we've ended up at Sloppy Joe's on both occasions (with Blonde Giraffe key lime pie for dessert!) Any recommendations for great eats? We are five adults and like all kinds of food, good atmosphere, and places you can linger. Thanks!

| Margaritaville is in KW - that is an option, I however would recommend getting off the beaten path a little (you are there for 5 days after all) and try some of the small local places ( I wish I could remember the name of the cuban place we go to - OMG good) and the Rusty Anchor!

| KW restaurants I second the comment about El Siboney---it's at the far end of Old Town KW, but it gets very crowded in there because the food is so good. Try the Cuban roast pork, accompanied by yucca, sweet fried plantains, and black beans and rice. Wash it all down with their delicious sangria. Other recommendations: Conch Republic Seafood Company (try the rum-battered grouper), or local fave Pepe's Cafe for breakfast (great for eggs, bread-of-the day, strong coffee, and fresh orange juice). Both are a short walk east of Duval. Have fun!!! |
