| So for the first time I actually requested a visitor's guide to Branson for our Thanksgiving week trip. I thought maybe it would give me some different ideas for things to do. Apparently the biggest news is that they have opened an airport! It is a few miles south of town on Hwy 65 in a new development called Branson Creek. Right now there are only 2 carriers that fly there - AirTran (you have to fly out of Atlanta no matter where you start from) and SunCountry, which gives you a couple more options (DFW and Minneapolis St Paul are direct flights). The only on-site rental car company is Enterprise, but I'm sure you could arrange for another company to pick you up and drive you into town if you found a better deal. Anyway here's their website in case you want to check out the details: Branson Airport, LLC | Home

| We're only about 7 hours away, and we would have to fly to either Atlanta or Dallas first to get there, which would take just as long as driving. So we'll continue driving!
