Bermuda cruise???

I can't believe it...but...instead of our usual Disney "girls get-away" vacation.....we're considering a cruise. One of my DFs (never traveled to WDW with us because of "flying" fears) is interested in a cruise. We were discussing the option and she is "so-so" about it.....she really isn't a traveler...We can take a cruise to Bermuda right out of Boston...so no flying is involved. I've NEVER been on a cruise, so I'm excited about the possibility. Of course, I'd prefer a disney cruise as my "maiden voyage" but that would involve some flying......so if I enjoy this "possible" trip..I'll have to do another.......I will miss WDW but another trip can also be arranged.....So, anyway.......What about a Bermida cruise ? Any suggestions.....we are planning late May, early June 2010......or advise would be appreciated. Rella

Wow, a Bermuda cruise sounds very interesting! I can't really offer any advice since I've only cruised in the Bahamas and Caribbean before but I'd think it'll be somewhat colder further north. Also, I'd expect the Atlantic to be rougher...

I'd love to hear more about this cruise!

My dh and I did a cruise from Boston to Bermda last Oct. The weather was a little cool on the way down and the sea a little rougher than caribbean trip. The port of Boston was an easy departure. Bermuda was beautiful and warm.
I would do it again.

I just returned from a Bermuda cruise on Thursday. It was a lot of fun! We went directly from New York so we didn't have to fly either. It actually made it very convienant.

We found the seas to be very calm. Almost scary calm on the way to Bermuda (we had expected much worse). On the return the seas were a little bumpy due to hurricane Bill but they still weren't bad.

Bermuda was beautiful and staying there over night was a plus. We didn't have to worry about getting back to the ship the first night and got to have dinner on the island. The beaches were warm and clean and all the people were incredibily nice.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions. I would be happy to help!
