Driving from Texas to CA

We are driving from Killeen (central TX) to Disneyland in March...

Anyone have ideas of places to see/stop by to entertain kiddos. We have a range of ages.... 10, 9, 6, 4

And of course entertains us adults too...

I will get you into California to start with. This site Calico Ghost Town is just outside Yermo, CA on your way by a couple of miles. I am sending you the site. The only "ride" is the railroad. This is an old ghost town worth seeing.

MS - Calico Ghost Town - Yermo

I am not too familiar with the other out of states attactions, etc. However, open this site and enter any town and state and add the wording... attractions, sightseeing, photos. For example:

Phoenix AZ attractions, sightseeing, photos.

Of course you will have to pick the towns along your route.

Wow that's a long drive you have ahead of you. Are you bringing a DVD player
for the trip?

OOOOH I am very interested to hear how this goes! We are in Austin and have driven to WDW but would like to try DLR someday. One thing we do when we have long drives is bring a ball and Jump Ropes and have recess during bathroom breaks. It really helps.
